Ding, Dong, Dash! is a Gameshow-esuqe 40 minute-mad exploration of Scotland’s most famous (and some less famous) shapes and forms. The actors, equipped only with whistles to communicate, will have to very quickly work together and dash into a different position everytime the buzzer goes off. They will try their very hardest to get through as many shapes as humanly possible – that is if they manage to explain it to each other. They will have to hold the shape until the next time they hear the buzzer go! The performance is inspired by childhood, primary school, nursary rhymes and playground games; and will serve as a study in forms/shapes that are authentic to the actors within the performance, and what they feel is synonymously Scottish to them.
