Il-Kantilena

‘Il-Kantilena’, was a spoken-word solo-performance of the oldest known literary text in the Maltese language. Dating back to the late 15th century, the text is notable for its extensive use of Arabic vocabulary, which made it a fascinating exercise in exploring the common roots between Arabic & Malta, and presenting it at the third-most populous city in the United Arab Emirates.
The Sharjah Heritage Days brings countries of the world together to celebrate their respective cultures with food, folk performances, heritage attire and games among many others.
