Using his imagination, young farmer-boy Peer leaves his farm behind and ventures to faraway places on an epic adventure. Will he be back in time to keep farming as his mother wants him to, or will his daydreams get the better of him? Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen had asked his compatriot Edward Grieg to compose incidental music for Peer Gynt, both drawing inspiration from their homeland fairytales and folk tunes. Almost 150 years later, the Malta Youth/Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Bianchi, will bring Grieg’s orchestration to life, with a script adapted from Ibsen’s play to present an unforgettable tale fit for all ages!
